As news of the successful FutureBoks Rugby Academy spreads, students from all over are signing up for next year’s training already.

The Academy works on a 'first-come first-served' basis and, as training is all individualised and skills specific, there are limited spaces available. To avoid any disappointment, boys should enroll before the end of 2009 for next year to reserve their space.

The Academy will be offering two ‘seasons’ of training, the first being from February – May 2010 and the second from July – October 2010.

As schoolboy rugby becomes more competitive every year, FutureBoks Rugby Academy gives young players the competitive edge with our one-on-one positional skills training. With so many young players injuring themselves due to lack of training, lack of knowledge or playing in teams against older boys, it’s important to note that, as we coach according to the boys’ ages and positions, the risk of injury to the player is minimised as the student learns and implements the correct way of playing the game of rugby and the correct positioning when passing, tackling, rucking, mauling, kicking etc. As each students training programme is formulated specifically for him and his position, the ‘proof is in the pudding’ for all the Academy’s students who have gone on to excel in their school and club teams.

An update on our director of coaching – Kyle Condon – who is now the Head Coach for the Falcon’s Currie Cup side for this year – another well deserved accolade!
