Futureboks International Rugby Academy
School Holiday Rugby Clinics
FutureBoks Rugby Academy will be hosting Junior and Senior rugby clinics during the 2012 school holidays. The clinics will be held at the Academy’s premises at Wits University and will cover the latest trends, techniques and training methods.
VENUE: Wits University 5 Day Clinic 09h30 - 15h30
JUNIORS: Ages: 8 - 11
SENIORS: Ages 12 - 16
Only 30 places open to non-Academy players and, therefore, early booking is essential!
The clinic will focus on the following:
- Position specific skills development.
- Modern trends in player conditioning (introduction of FRAT).
- Peripheral vision development techniques.
- Advanced reaction time exercises.
- Tactical kicking.
- Offensive drills and methodology.
- Speed development for rugby players.
- Agility for the modern player.
- Backline specialist sessions.
- Forward specialist sessions.
- The ruck and how to win it (technical).
- Line out techniques and tips.
- Mini games.
The clinics are run by our highly qualified and respected coaches, headed up by our director of coaching, Kyle Condon (SARFU Level III, Currie Cup Falcons 2009 senior side coach, graduate of International Rugby Academy of New Zealand Elite Coaches 2007, Golden Lions Amateur U21 coach 2010, Golden Lions Amateur Seniors coach 2011, Wits University Varsity Shield team 2011 & 2012). There are also numerous specialist guest speakers addressing the students each day, in their respective fields.
Fee: R1 650 p.p which includes the course, certificate, morning snack, lunch, water and soft drinks.
Acceptance is subject to a 50% deposit paid up front with the balance payable 1 week prior to commencement of clinic.
Please note: Clinics are subject to a minimum of 20 boys participating per clinic (we reserve the right to cancel any clinics and, should this occur, you will receive a refund of your deposit).
