Who should attend FutureBoks

One of the problems with rugby academies is that they are generally the product of universities or large provincial unions, thus making them inaccessible to many young players. Furthermore, academies focus on older age groups from 15 to 21 years of age. At FutureBoks we firmly believe that micro skills need to be developed from a young age and then strengthened and monitored to full growth potential.

The academy is open to all players between the ages of 8 and 16 years of age.

Individuals are graded on their current skill level and experience and then allocated to the required coaching programme. In this way we are able to keep players together based on their level of skill as opposed to large groups of contrasting skill levels.

Performance Monitoring

Each academician (member) receives monthly assessments which include interactive sessions with parents. These sessions allow for you to be a part of your son’s rugby life and to assist in his growth as a FutureBok!

A large part of our skills growth measurement profile is video and photographic material. Physical growth and conditioning is monitored and measured through proven strength and cardiovascular tests.

Our Goal

Our goal is to operate our courses on a completely personal level in order to create a learning environment where our students can interact with our specialist coaches who have performed with distinction in their respective fields.

This interaction with the coaches and players creates an incredibly infectious learning environment.

Our goal is to provide a professional service to those rugby players who wish to achieve and excel at the ‘beautiful game’.

Customised Courses

FBIRA also offers customised coaching programmes for school teams and units.

These are short-term programmes designed specifically to suit the needs of the team. Our specialists will work closely with the team’s coaches to create a ‘take away’ programme for the team’s goals.
